Mackenzie started swimming at the age of 9 on a summer swim team and has been swimming competitively ever since. She just graduated from Glenwood High School and will be attending the Missouri University of Science & Technology this fall. She has been coaching summer league and club swimming for over 5 years and has worked with swimmers as young as one all the way to adults. Mackenzie loves working with kids and helping swimmers build confidence in the water. She is excited for the 2026 season!
Hope is a recent graduate from SHG, where she swam all 4 of her high school years. She has been swimming competitively since the age of 7 and has gone on to compete at the regional, state, zone and national levels. Hope enjoys the sport of swimming more than anything and loves to share that joy with others. Hope has been coaching on and off for her club team for the past five years and has coached for CASC since 2024. Hope is excited to return for the 2026 season!
Laynie is entering her senior at Glenwood High School. She has been swimming competitively since she was six years old, and is currently swimming her final year of club swimming on Capital Area Aqua Phoenix. Laynie has been coaching for over four years, working with kids of all ages. She is very passionate about coaching and is beyond excited to work with everyone and cannot wait to share her music on deck!
Kaleigh is a sophomore at Carthage College where she swims for the Carthage Swim & Dive team in Wisconsin. She's been swimming competitively for 12 years and has loved being involved in the sport. She coached for CASC throughout high school and has taught swim lessons at Carthage the past two years, as well as two summers at the KC pool. She loves working with kids, helping swimmers build confidence in the water, and sharing her passion for swimming. She's excited to be back coaching this summer!
Sarah has been teaching swim lessons and coaching for ten years, and swam competitively in both high school and college. She is excited to get back in the pool in Springfield after teaching in Wisconsin and Southern Illinois for the past several years. Sarah has experience working with people ages two to adults, including all different experience levels, as well with people with neurodivergence and special needs
Alex is entering his senior year at New Berlin High School where he is a member of the National Honors Society. He has been swimming competitively for four years and began his swimming career right here at CASC. Alex's favorite events are the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Alex was an assistant coach for the 2024, 2025 CASC seasons and is excited to return for another year!
